Did the secondary require a picture with a form to mail back in to FSM, or am I just thinking of another school?

You might be thinking about another school (perhaps Indiana), because I did not mail anything in for FSM.

So I also got an interview offer... but only with 2 dates as options. Both of which are next week, and near impossible for me to make. What do you guys think about calling and seeing if they're other options?

Do it!
I couldn't make 'em either, so I emailed & got a date that worked. I called on Monday morn to confirm b/c she forgot to change my online status -- Ms. Garcia is really nice!

Congrats to everyone with interviews!!! Would you all mind posting when you were complete?

Interview invite today (9/23), application was complete 8/23.

Same here. I was planning on calling them tomorrow. When are you rescheduling to? Perhaps we'll run into each other. 🙂

Hey, so I'm slightly late in the cycle to the MSTP (my primary just got verified on friday night) but all my documents are in except for the secondary that im working on now (just got it monday). I just got an email though from northwestern for "selected applicants" saying "It is important that you complete your application byearly September to have the best chance of being invited to interview." and most importantly...

"The MSTP Admissions Committee has reviewed your AMCAS application and is extremely impressed byyour academic accomplishment and research promise. If you are receiving this message it is because the Committee has given me your name as a top candidate for admission."

Is this really just something they send to a lot of people... cause I didn't think they screened? I'm getting kind of excited cause Northwestern is one of my top schools!

Thanks, and good luck everybody!
-Chris

Haha, if I've learned anything through this process it is patience!

BTW, the admissions office staff are SUPER nice. I had to change my interview date and the woman I talked to was extremely accommodating.

Has anybody interviewed recently and want to share their experiences/thoughts concerning the panel interview? It sounds really intimidating.

Dont worry too much about it.

Just consider it a group conversation.

Just like any other conversation, just answer them with whatever comes to mind, and act like as you would normally do and you will be fine! 👍

To answer your question directly, it was not intimidating.

i second that. it really wasn't a big deal....i didn't find it particularly useful as part of the interview process...but it also wasn't scary, so don't worry about it - it's truly just a time to have a conversation and be yourself =)

Completed 8/7, interview invite on 9/29, interview scheduled for 10/13.

My first invite! Already got rejected by without an interview by Boston U, Chicago, Vanderbilt, and Washington (my home state, ouch), so this is pretty exciting.

Non-traditional student, cumulative GPA 2.98 (~3.75 over the last 3 years), 38P MCAT.

Interview invite tonite! (Sunday, 7:30 pm eastern) Are they working overtime or what is the deal? One of my top choices, so really thrilled here. I was complete about three weeks ago.

Nice going you guys with your interview invitations! Northwestern has been my top choice for three year now... I wish I had applied sooner in this cycle! God, what I would give for a chance at this school....:xf:

Interview tomorrow~~~

Fairly nervous actually - I've heard that Northwestern can be somewhat intimidating....T.T

I submitted my secondary on 9/3 but I never received a confirmation email. Do they send an acknowledgment or something like that? Should I contact the admissions office to see what the situation is?

Before calling or emailing them, please note than you can check the status of your application in the link they sent you to complete the secondary application. Your current status is on the front page, you can't miss it. I submitted my secondary mid September and am complete btw. Hope this helps.

Interview invite 10/15!! (Complete 9/27)

cGPA 3.28, 32T -- staying strong for the low GPA-ers!!!! Good luck! 🙂

Interview invite on Oct. 12. Complete on Sept. 1 (or at least application and fee received that day).
Anyone else going to be interviewing on Nov. 3?

For those who have already interviewed at Northwestern: Is there anything we should bring specifically for the one-on-one update interview?

If anyone has feedback or thoughts they'd like to share on the interview day experience they'd be greatly appreciated! Headed to Chicago to interview here in about a week and a half and am really excited.

Best interview experience yet

Start off w/ great breakfast + Dean Wallace + mock PBL sesh.
Then the group is divided into 2. 1/2 go to panel interviews, 1/2 go to individual. There were 2 diff types of panels - 1 asked the same question to all 3 applicants (applicants liked that experience less), 1 asked diff questions to applicants (I thought it was a good experience).
Individual interview (open file, ~20 mins) was great too. No one's out to get you...
Then lunch w/ med students (great cafeteria), then tour, then another info sesh with Wallace -- t'was a long day but very fun.

Stay excited!!!
