im planning on appealing. i got a 2.99 on my operative section and thats only because i took off a lot of anatomy on my amalgam restoration for proper occlusion. is it worth the appeal? i passed everything else.
help please...thank you

I think there have been a few members here in the past who have tried to appeal their score (even one who failed by a tenth of a point or something). Appeals are almost fruitless unless it's a mathematical error on their part.

I failed by a small amount the first time and wanted to appeal, until I read the guidelines for appeal. As the above poster said, unless it is a math error there isn't anything to appeal.

They won't review the scores given (which means they can't change a score). The score they gave you is what you got, so unless they added things up wrong you shouldn't waste the time and money appealing. Based on their criteria they will take your appeal money and then send you a letter saying your case doesn't even qualify for a review.
