Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a list of DAT Bio topics vs Campbell chapters but there are some topics that I don't know where to find them in Campbell. Let me know if you know.

Cell and Molecular Biology
A. Origin of Life
25: The history of life on earth
Cliff: page 139

B. Cell metabolism (including photosynthesis)/ Enzymology
8: Introduction to Metabolism
8.4: Enzymes
10: Photosynthesis.

C. Cellular Processes
9: Cellular Respiration.

D. Thermodynamics
8.1: An organism's metabolism transforms matter and energy, subject to the laws of thermodynamics.

E. Organelle structure and function
6: The tour of the cell.

F. Mitosis / Meiosis
12.2 (p.232): Mitosis
13.3 (p.255): Meiosis reduces the number of chromosome sets from diploid to haploid
p.256: comparison of mitosis and meiosis.

1) Is Chapter 50 covered on the DAT? Its Sensory/Motor Mechanisms.
- Its alot of detailed material, I am not sure what to even focus on.

2) Are the different anatomical structure of the brain covered?

I am sorry i cant answer your questions since i haven't taken the DAT yet but i have asked some people and they said you better read everything.

But for section Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior, some said Cliff is enough. Don't take my words 100% 🙂

hey wizi, I just got the campbell book from ebay and am trying to do the same thing as well. It seems like you got most the stuff. You know what's ridiculous tho... I go to pick up the book at my apartment clubhouse and I was like damn why is this book so small?? I opened the package and the book was fake! Someone copied it using only black and white ink and then glued a fake campbell cover to it. Anyways, hopefully there are not too many diagrams that are color dependent... I found a couple in the photosynthesis chapter tho... unbelievable
