i can't compare BRS versus HY, as I haven't seen the HY book for this topic. But I did use BRS Cell Biology/Histo for our histology course & found it to be a pretty easy and thorough read. It also helped me knock the histo shelf out of the ballpark.

Agreed - the BRS is much better than the HY in Cell - I also have the HY - the HY is basically useless in Anantomy and cell - don't wait for the new one. You can get a very good used on Amazon for alot less. Oh the Lange Histo is all pictures. VG for visual recognition but really poor for text. If you want a cell histology q-bank - Histology Stude Guide by Patrick Leonardi is the way to go.
