I have an interview for Midwestern University. Since they are pretty new, I have been trying to prepare by looking at interview questions asked by other schools. I do not know how else to prepare for it.

Any advice? anyone else that has had an interview from midwestern?

I had an interview at Midwestern last year. There are 10-12 students interviewed by two panels of three people (which panel you get is luck of the draw).

Each panel asks different questions. Most of the questions were standard...
Why optometry? Why here? What are your hobbies?

In all it was a very fair interview.

Good luck!

Try to role play those questions with someone. It really pays to practice that.

I had an interview there, Pretty much what "BigDummy" said; however, I had a lot of questions. Trust me TONS of questions!
: What is optometry?
:What are the Branches of Optometry?
:Why Optometry?
:Why Midwestern?
:What do you see yourself 3 years past 4 OD years?
: What are your extraextracurricular activities?
:What are you doing now?
:What do you do at work? Name different activities that you have been doing at work?
:What other schools did you apply to?
:What happens if you don't get into this year's OD program?
:

I'm not lying, Those were all the questions I have received in 1 interview at Midwestern with 2 INTERVIEWERS. They were really laid back. Even though I felt like I got sidetracked because I became emotional when I tried to respond to "why optometry". I Wish that didn't happen but overall, the whole interview i was being myself, felt pretty confident because I was being pretty honest and they came from the bottom of my heart.

They told me 3-4 weeks before I'll find out the results. But I hope with my reply to this post, will help you on ur Interview.

Good luck.

That's not that many questions. I feel like its a good amount but nothing over the top. Anyways, sounds like you did well. Good luck to you.
