Hello,
I'm from the New England and planning to get a TX license. What are your recommendations on the TX law books? Thanks in advance ...

Hi,
If someone is from Texas please help because I am from california and would like to also know if there is a book in Texas for the law part that is similar to the Weissman california law book. thank you so much.

I would call either University of Houston COP or University of Texas COP and ask what book they use to teach their law class for their pharmacy students. I know at UH they take the law class 2nd semester of their 3rd year. I believe the guy who teaches the law their also may teach the law at UT. Not sure on that. But from what I remember he he is a pharmD/JD and has worked for the state board before and does review classes. Also if you work for one of the big chains they usually have a review class for new grads around June or whatever. Hope that helps I do know that the CS laws in TX are more strict then most states.

There is a complete law book with a cd available from a company called Lexis Nexis. I just took the Texas MPJE and passed and that is the book I used to study. I printed up the MPJE compentecy statements from the TSBP web site, aswered them with the book and had no problem passing.
