I am just curious how much money have you guys spend so far for this application cycle?

I am just curious how much money have you guys spend so far for this application cycle?

I wish I hadn't added it up, but I did...roughly $2015 (before placing the enormous deposits that are due). I think this might be on the low end tho. I only applied to 5 schools, went to 4 interviews; flew to 3, drove to 1; and only had one hotel (fam and students for others). This total includes a lot of stuff tho--MCAT, ACCOMA, 2ndries, and traveling expenses.

I have spent:

$655 AACOMAS Fee
$450 Secondaries
$115 TMDSAS
$150 for beautiful professional photos (TMDSAS requires pics for each school)
$420 for April and August MCATS
$1790 over all but I still have not recieved any interviews so I haven't even spent anything on travel and hotel yet

AACOMAS: ~$450 (12 schools)
Secondaries: ~$800
Flights: ~$1600
Hotels: ~$500
Car rentals: ~$500
Suit: $300

Total: over $3,000! I'm from Alaska so traveling was incredibly expensive (and time-consuming). Freakin' ridiculous. I put it almost entirely on my credit card and am busting my arse trying to pay it off (working two jobs, eating canned soup every night, etc.). If I had a better idea of my chances, I probably would have applied to fewer schools...but it's really so hard to know ahead of time.

Kaplan: $1600
MCAT tutor when I thought I was going to retake the MCAT: $400
MCAT: $210
AMCAS: $500
AACOMAS: $500
Secondaries: $1375
Total thus far, before a cross country interview trip in feb and other potential interviews invites and $1500 NYCOM deposit:
$4585 and counting
CRAP!! that is the first time I added that up. No wonder I am in debt:scared:

In the end it is all worth it😳

I was going to say 1900 for primaries (I applied to md and do), secondaries, and interviewing but I saw someone added the kaplan fee. If I add the fee for princton review and mcat thats an extra 1800 so there you go.... $3700 wow thats depressing!

AACOMAS app: ~ $220 (3 schools -- I think its 160+30+30 -- dont remember)
AMCAS: whatever it is for 5 schools -- ~ $280?
Secondaries: DO schools -- 3X$50 --> $150
Secondaries: MD schools -- So far, $60+$75 --> $135
Total Cost: ~$785, not too shabby.

About $3,000. Thats Texas schools, AACOMAS (9 schools) and all secondaries, plus traveling to interviews!

$700-primaries
$1000-secondaries
$200-interviews
$400-MCAT(2x)
$700-MCAT Review
$60-suit
$150-textbooks for the class I re-took
Total=~$3200

I only went to one interview, was accepted, and withdrew from my others. This is before any deposits. It's frightening when you add it up, b/c some of it was stretched over a couple of years and I didn't realize how much it actualy cost.
