Ok, so to get a complete profile 🙂, of the members of the International Dental Forum: What's your race/ethnicity?

EDIT: What's your race/ethnicity/nationality/where do you come from/what do you feel you are/ whatever you wanna call it?

I did some internet search and tried to get this classification as complete as possible, forgive me if I obviated or repeted your race. In case you don't fit one of the above, just mention it in a post.

ps: i dont agree with "indian", "chinese", "filipino" as ethnicities....they sound more like nationalities! what if my ancestors are from india and but am from another country, why would i call myself an "indian".....yeah my race would be an asian though.....or in order to get the exact info.....the poll should have been about everyone's nationalities and not about race......what say?

Now that you mention that. I was wondering...... in the USA what are considered people from South Africa from Indian heritage? I mean, for filling out application forms, census, etc.

As long as that person or the parents where born in south africa he/she is consider as being a south african.And in USA census, they look for diversity it does'nt matter if you were born here.

look at Boston, they till now brag about their Irish history and everyone there is proud of it even the ones where born in boston.

yes! thats true..am from south africa, but have an indian descent🙂; in my applc forms, nationality is definitely SA, ethnicity as Asian and religion as Hindu🙂 i guess that explains it....

Yep..his ethnicity would be Indian/Hindu...even if his nationality is South African...

noooooo they dont! some of them thought i was white, and some of them didnt even bother, but may have concluded cuz of my name, but some did ask me and i explained......

It's interesting to see who is from western Europe...
I mean we don't see the usual reasons to emigrate in the US with those guys.
Although I used to work with a doctor from England, after she had graduated the Royal London whatever University she had to go to Loma Linda. She wasn't a happy camper.
Now, as I write that, I remembered that my ex-boss was Italian dentist, but he had abandoned the idea of getting licensed in US a long time ago.
 
Why is it that the Europeans dont prefer to come to the US as much? Do dentists do that great in all the countries of europe? if so, why aren't there many Indian dentists infiltrating one of those countries?? and ease out the competition here😛
