It seems like many MPH programs are not accreditated, and hence they're not shown on the Public Health ranking. I just wanna be sure, is Vanderbilt's MPH accreditated?

Last time I heard, Dartmouth's trying to get its MPH program accreditated in the near future, are other schools like Northwestern trying to move in the same direction as well?

i am not sure if Vandy's program is accredited, at least, not by CEPH.

you can look up CEPH accreditation at http://www.ceph.org/

irrespective of whether or not a program has CEPH accreditation, it has to have SOME type of accreditation to run...you have to look in the fine print on any materials they send you.

Thanks edfig...so I guess Dartmouth and Northwestern have accredited MPH "Programs", but they don't have official schools of public health...

thanks I think I'm starting to see a pattern of which schools are credited by multiple organizations.

Does anyone know what the difference is between an accredited school and an accredited program? I'm looking at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, it says its not an accredited school but has a public health program. Can someone tell me what this means and if i should look at a different school that IS accredited? Thanks!

i think that the difference is that there is an MPH Program that's accredited under a dept (i.e. a dept in the medical school) vs. there is an entire school of public health that's accredited. as long as the program or the school is accredited then u should be fine. i notice that the dartmouth and usc's mph program are both accredited programs but both are under a dept in the medical school...and it looks like your mph program at colorado is accredited and is also under the dept in the medical school. check out the link below, hope this helps...good luck!
