Would this be a good idea? The reason I raise this issue is that the school that I am doing my post-bacc gives the degree students first dibs are registering and non-degree students have to take the courses that are left open afterwards. This is not an issue for introductory courses but for upper level courses end up being closed by the time non-degree students get a chance to register. Will doing this looked upon negatively? I already have a degree I just want to take those extra upper level courses to give my GPA a miniboost and to show the adcoms that the grades that I am pulling are no fluke.

I don't think that it will be a big deal if you don't finish. I am probably going to be going to dental school without graduating with an undergrad degree in the first place. I know many dentists in my area who didn't graduate with an undergrad either. Since you already have one and just want to boost your GPA, I don't think that it will be frowned upon because you take some more upper level courses.

That's what I'm doing... no problem here!

Go for it! That is what I did - my advisor knew that I wasn't going to finish any biology degree, yet she registered me as such so that I could register first thing and take the courses that needed to be taken. Best of luck!

I did the same thing for my dental school prereqs. it was a complete "non-issue." I wasn't even asked about it during my interviews.
