ok, my book sucks and i found it out the sample problem was cut off in there!!
can someone help me answer this question...please?
A 1.0 M solution of Copper (II) Nitrate is placed in a beaker with a strip of Copper metal. A 1.0 M solution of tin (II) sulfate is placed in a second beaker with a strop of tin metal. The two beakers are connected by a salt bridge, and the two metal electrodes are linked by wires to a voltmeter.
a) Which electrode serves as the anode and which serves as the cathode?
b) Which electrode gains mass and which loses mass?
c) Write the chem equation for the overall cell reaction (this is where i get confused)
d) What is the emf generated by the cell under standard conditions?
appreciate the help if you can! i have the worst chem teacher imaginable, and his help is very limited...he has a problem with explaining, which he admits! nevertheless, if someone can help me with these questions it will jumpstart my hw for tonite...im confused!! i hate this feeling so much 😡
