Hey folks,

If I just received the grades from summer school and I want the med schools that I applied to see it, do I go through AMCAS or do I have to send my final transcript to each school that I applied to? I've been verified early August and am currently working on secondaries....

Do not bother with AMCAS at this point. If a school gives you a secondary, ask them if it is appropriate to send an updated version of your transcript. You can just send or fax a copy of your updated transcript. (This will cut down on time/cost of having official transcripts mailed). If you're required to send in a signature page or check, send the transcript with that. Otherwise, type a brief letter that indicates you've enclosed your transcript and why (include AAMC ID)

Hope this helps

I'm in the same situation, but I just got verified today. I am really T-O'd because my GPA was lower than I thought... If I submit the updated transcript, it will probably boost my "AO" GPA from a 2.97 to over 3.0 Should I do it?

Does anyone know how to go about it?

You have to notify schools of any new grades by having a transcript sent directly to them. The Academic Change Request on the AMCAS website is only for correcting errors; it states "AMCAS will not make corrections based on information which becomes available after the initial submission of your materials or modify current/future ("CC") coursework."
