anyone have the # interview vs # accepted at nymc?

also how is this school in general? is it lower, middle, or upper tier?

thanks in advance 🙂

According to USNWR, in 2005 they interviewed 1,298 applicants and accepted 736.

From US News (maybe the year before the above post, but exact #s):

Applied / Interviewed / Accepted

In state : 1361 / 359 / 235

Out of state : 5134 / 973 / 550

You can do the various math from there! Good luck!

Here are the numbers for NYMC from US News and World report. I think it was for the 2006 cycle:

Total applications: 7560
Number interviewed: 1298
Number accepted: 736
Number matriculate: 194

About 57% of interviewees are ultimately accepted, which aren't bad odds.

At my interview this year, they told us they had over 11,000 completed applications for the 2007 cycle. And that they ultimately accepted fewer people in 2007 than in previous years. I do unfortunately think this is the case almost everywhere, probably because there was an increase in applications to all schools and thus there were fewer multiple acceptances.
