I got a list from the school...PM me your name/school and I can tell you if you got in.

Can you tell how many acceptances have been sent out?

John Doe from McGill Univ.

I don't know who you are, how you managed to steal a copy of their list, or why you deem it a need to take it upon yourself to be the distributor of highly confidential and personal information, but you must be a lonely soul looking for some serious personal validation and worth.

They post it in a public place at the school. I think he's probably trying to help people out because they sent out letters instead of emails and didn't really call anyone.

I for one would appreciate something like that. I know some people were considering driving up there just to take a look at the list.

So what planet are we on? Dental school must keep you too busy to know that there are several post that have indicated that the list was posted at the dental school and as such it became public information. If you have trouble with the concept of posting a list maybe you should relay your message to UTHSCSA and quit making outrageous comments to someone who is trying to help those who are driving themselves batty wondering whether they are on the list of those accepted.

And who knows-you might see the list in tomorrow's NY Times.

Then why are you asking to be checked if you think he 'stole' the list?

Predentn, do you mind checking my name on the list too?
I sent a pm too with my name and school.
Thanks so much for your help!!

Not to intrude on another's privacy, but can you tell me if Jane Doe from UMass Amherst got in?

And my real name is Michael Jonathan McDonald from UC Berkeley. Did I get in?

Reliable sources confirm that there is no Jane Doe or Michael Jonathan McDonald on the list. However there is a Jane Deer-Sika-Buck and a MJMcD-Sherlock H.

There are usually running jokes about Texans on tv, making fun of their rustic ways and their intelligence. I've never thought much about that, because they were just jokes.

But when most schools tries to ensure an applicant's confidientiality by not disclosing information over the phone, taking much care to keep highly personal information private, San Antonio goes out and post such information publically.

A student there helps to disclose such information, not considering that ANYone can say they're another person and obtain admissions information on another.

Another student thinks my name is really John Doe.

I'm now wondering whether there's some truth to the jokes on tv.

Easy there. Before making gross characterizations about an entire state (in terms of intelligence, no less), you might want to check your own grammar prior to posting. 😎

This is coming from a person who posted such amazing threads as the classic "What car are you willing to give to your school over 4 years?" thread, the "hi" thread, the "shuna I love you..." thread, the "go eat bird" thread and countless other classic threads. My favorite of all time is the "Where's forester" thread, where this guy post this classic comment: "Also, do you know where I can talk to non-Jews? Apparently, dental school are full of Jews and I need some non-Jew's to converse with.

I'm not Jewish, but Happy Hanukkah to those that are! Sorry there are loosers like this guy in the world.

Dude, does us a favor and go chat about Harvard, playing Tennis at the country club your parents are members at, or how Hitler would be your ideal dental assistant on another thread. Nice pic by the way... haha!

If UTSA had posted say weight of enrollee, sexual orientation, bank account numbers, SSN, telephone numbers etc you could call it personal information. It is hard to imagine anyone being displeased that other people found out about their acceptances. In reality, the only ones who really give a hoot on who was accepted and where are the applicants, their immediate family, friends and perhaps acquaintances. The rest of us could not care less if John Doe or John Deer were accepted at school X.

Texans may not be as cultured as you would like them to be, but they can certainly smell paranoic idiocy even at hundreds of miles from the state line.

I don't know what people's privacy problems are with that. Every school I've called about my application status just asked for my name. I could say anyone's name. Granted, that person would have to have applied there or my diabolical plan wouldn't work very well. Also, what are people going to do with your accepted/rejected status? Tell people who don't care?
