I have a question regarding the MCAT and AMCAS application (going to be a senior).
If say i took the MCAT this July 8th and I wanted to take the MCAT again say September 7th.
My score would come back approximately 5 weeks later or around August 12th.
If my score was say a 29 or 30 on the exam, and I wanted to take the MCAT again, should I check "Yes I will be retaking the MCAT."
From what I heard if I check "i will be retaking the MCAT" then they won't consider your application until the 2nd score comes out. Or would they?
Say if the MCAT score was good enough from the July 8th one (say I got a 31) on it, and I checked "yes I will be retaking it." and say I took it September 7th and got my scores back for the 2nd attempt in october. Does that mean that my primary application won't be considered until the 2nd attempt?
Or would it be better off to just check "i will not be retaking the MCAT" that way my primary can be screened and hopefully get secondaries through that.
