Sorry if this question has already been posted.

How do you describe research in the work/activities section that you have already mentioned in the previous research experience in the 3rd MD/PhD essay?

I am applying to as many MD/PhD schools as allow the social science track I want to do, but am also applying to some schools just MD in case I don't get in anywhere MD/PhD.

Since the straight MD schools won't see the 3rd essay, do I just copy/paste from there? That will make it redundant for places I apply MD/PhD, but do they care? For me, aside from my clinical research exp, my main background is my senior thesis. What do they want to see there:

- A description of what I wrote substantively
- A description of when/how it happened including funding, what I was responsible for, etc.
- How it's impacted me??

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about being redundant, I think that the MD/PhD adcoms are going to care much more about that research essay than your list of experiences anyway, so make sure that the MD only schools know what you have to offer. That being said, I would avoid copying word for word if you can get the idea across without doing that.

As for what to include in the activities section about your thesis. I would be brief about the funding/etc, and focus on what you did, what you wrote and what you got out of it. Something like:
"In my senior thesis project, which was funded by XX award and completed under the direction of Professor YY, I studied/researched/explored ZZ." and so on. You don't want to be too wordy about the whole thing.
