Please guys, if you got admitted to Indiana's dental program (DDS program), I would not make it a priority to come here.
I had to repeat another year because I got an F for a class because the instructor hated my guts. F--k that instructor! 😡 I calculated my total percentage for the course and I got a passing 78% according to the formula in his syllabus. But since I failed two of the four written exams for the class, the instructor felt that I should not pass the class, and gave me an F. He didn't even tell me I got an F. The dean of academic affairs had to contact me and tell me that I got a fuccen F for the course.
I may hire a lawyer to handle this since I didn't have a chance to appeal this decision. I also didn't have a chance to sit in on the progress committee meeting to explain my side of the story. How unfair and nazi of the progress committee to do this to me!
Hence that piece of worthless cow excrement instructor failed me for the course and the nazi progress committee voted to make me repeat the course next year. Hence I graduate later than my class!!
I'm warning you guys. The building here is old, and some of the instructors are on a power trip. Many instructors here play favoritism as well.
The modules are also disorganized. Some of the instructors here at IUSD sure don't know how to teach for sh_t .
They expect you to do PBL research, and expect you to know any questions they dump onto the exams. What's unfair is that some of the PBL objectives don't even point you in the right direction of what you have to study for the exam.
IUSd is also unfriendly towards minorities and people of color. It's true of what other past students said of Indiana's dental school and their intolerance and unfriendliness towards minorities in other threads I have read. The only loophole is if you're a minority female and hit on the dirty old white instructors. SOme of the instructors are womanizers and perverts here.
So I warn you guys - future applicants and current pondering pre-D1 students, don't come or even think of applying to this school. Of course there are unfortunate in-state students or applicants who want to come here because of the cheap tuition. But if possible, don't come here. It's the Uconn or NYU of the midwest or the USC or Oregon health science of the midwest!
Oh, and for non-residents, they have to pay non-resident tuition for all their years they stay at this rip off dental school.. Rip off in a way where non-resident students are worth TWO in-state dental students. I wonder where all the money goes to? Still in need of a new school and new chairs in the clinic and new equipments. 👎
