Hello,

I am currently enrolled in a CC. My GPA is a 3.8. I want to transfer to a 0-6 school like Boston or St. Johns. I don't know what my chances are since Boston's website states that they prefer 4-year college. I have A's in all my general classes. A in Math, and Writing. B and A in Bio and B in Chem.

Is there anything else I can do that would improve my chance?

What would be the easiest school to get into with this? If I can't make it then I will transfer to a UC and after 1 year, apply for a transfer to Boston again.

I really appreciate any help I can get. I've been stressing over this for the past couple of weeks.

Thank you.

You do realize that with a 0-6 you'll do 6 years of schooling in addition to your CC, right?

Your GPA seems great for most any pharmacy school. They'd of course probably also look at your SATs from high school. If you have over like a 1350, you can get into any of them. If you have over a 1250 and under a 1350, you probably couldn't get into Rutgers or Pitt's 0-6 program, but you could probably get into any other one:

Albany
USP
MCPHS-Boston
St. Louis
Duquesne
Northeastern

There are more. I think there's a sticky in the prepharm forum listing all of them.

I didn't think St. Johns does 0-6 anymore, but I'm not sure.

I'm sure you know this, but keep in mind that admissions for any pharm. school, including 0-6 programs, will now be accepting applications for fall 2009, so you still have to wait a year before you start.

That's not true. I was looking at some of those colleges that you recommended and a transfer student would go into their 3rd year not start at the beginning.

I will try to apply for a transfer. If I don't get accepted, I will have to transfer to a University and then apply after getting my B.S. I just prefer to get into a Pharmacy school asap since the longer it takes, the higher chance of not getting in due to many unforseen circumstances.

Again, does anyone know what's an easy school to get into, from personal experience or from a friend/someone you know?

Schools I will apply to: Boston, Pacific, St. Johns, ACP.

Yes you can get into some as a transfer, but that defeats the whole purpose of going to a 0-6 program. It's basically the same as going to any 4-year pharmacy program.

The only purpose would be if you come is as a 2nd year. Then you still won't need to take the PCAT or anything.

I know St. Johns definitely does not take in transfers. The only 0-6 program that I can think of that accepts "transfers" is Rutgers but its very competitive.
