Does anyone have any recommendations for an Emergency Medicine text that would be appropriate for a 4th year med student (me) doing an elective EM rotation? I'm not talking Tintinalli (sp?) but something smaller, more manageable. Thanks for any suggestions!👍

I used the Case Files book and liked it. It was recommended reading for the USC-LAC EM rotation.

EMRA also has a pretty good pocket book as well. Used to come free with membership, but I don't if that's still the case.

Emergency Medicine Secrets is great.

Thanks to everyone for the advice! I ended up going with "An Introduction to Clinical Emergency Medicine..." (because I liked the symptom based format and the pictures :hardy:) and Case Files (because I like the Case Files series and have had good luck with them on other rotations). Thanks again!
