I haven't heard of anyone getting anything yet.

Only thing I have received is an email from Northwestern last week saying they look forward to reviewing my application as supporting documents become available.

haven't heard anything either.

I remember going through the process last year - very few programs offered interviews before the dean's letter goes out. I do remember getting an interview at Emory, MUSC, and UAB.

Just got my first interview offer-- Michigan State University! I'll probably try to interview soon, but heard that it's better to interview later in the season so they remember you. What do you guys think?

1. Texas A+M / Scott and White
2. Univ of Alabama

widely debated topic that i don't have the "right" answer to. i've heard the argument that interviewing later ensures that the program has a higher chance of remembering you. however, i'd interview at your home program early, since you are likely to be very comfortable in that setting, and can use it to gauge what other interviews will be like. other than that, i'm guessing you'll get a range of answers to this question.

congrats on the interviews!

I'm not applying to these programs, but I was wondering how complete your application is. Do you have all your letters in (minus the MSPE, of course)?

All complete except MSPE and 1 LOR (3 complete, 1 missing).

I'm sure the interview floodgates will open for everyone soon. I was very surprised about getting these because I just submitted my app Friday night.

Very controversial issue. If it helps, I interviewed at U of Michigan in the beginning of november. It was my 2nd interview. I ended up at U of M.

i bet you'll have waaay too many interview invites and may get tired of interviewing at so many places. just a guess...

I applied to 32. I'm hoping to interview at 10-15.

My wife and I are couples matching so we needed to cast a pretty big net with our applications.

We need to find a place that is interested in both of us, and vice versa.

This whole interview thing kind of sucks, I feel like we would have signed a contract on our away rotation and been very happy if it was an option, instead we are going to spend like 20k between the two of us.

Wow. good luck to you both.

1. Mayo Clinic in AZ (invited 9/9 - everything in but mspe)
2. UT at Houston (invited 9/15)

I don't recommend interviewing at too many places. Definitely interview first at a couple of programs you care less about. Interview at your dream programs after you've had enough experience developing your "vision", practice expressing it eloquently, and a better sense of what each program is looking for.

Good luck. These are intense times. What is even worse is the time between interview season's end and match day. Try to enjoy as much of this as you can...

Congratulations on all the interviews, everybody! Interesting that some of the "big names" like WashU, Yale are granting interviews so early in the game. I guess its just a testament to the strength of your applications!

:scared:Any interviews offered in Illinois yet?

:scared:Any interviews offered in Illinois yet?

my understanding is that U chicago is not in the list of schools that offer "early" invites (i.e. i dont think people heard from them until mid oct last year). i think NW is late sept, according to last year's thread. NW will want all your supporting docs before reviewing your app (i received an email that they look forward to reading my app once supporting materials are available). cant comment on the dozen or more other chicago programs....

Wash U 9/16...sigh, now I have to trek out to St Louis...
