How did you minimize medical school debt?

Was such a bad applicant that only 2 out of the 20 schools I applied to gave me an interview. And one of those schools was in-state and gives interviews to 100% of in-state students.

And then got a full ride for my 1st year to said school based on my MCAT score, which was a brilliant mark in an otherwise awful and lacking file.
 
As far as contraceptives go..dont use condoms-way too expensive.

Either pull out, have the girl on top, or have her jump up and down after you finish....use that gravity baby.

Although after she jumped when she is falling, it will go in the wrong direction! 🙂
 
I'm about to solve all my debt problems with the help of a Nigerian prince who is in a bit of trouble in his homeland.

On a more serious note, don't buy the $100 "required" textbooks. Most of the time all you need are the prof's notes and a $30 review book.
 
I gave up my daily 4 dollar starbucks coffee like the finacial aid department at every schools suggests
 
A good friend and classmate of mine who I've known for many years and went to college with used a large portion of his loan money to play poker and made out on top by over $20k. In college he used to play party poker while it was still legal, and used that as a primary income stream.

I definitely DON'T recommend this as a good debt control strategy, but meh... luck happens!

< $2 on food a day (bulk oatmeal, eggs, black beans..).

fill up my car like once every other month.

bought all my books, furniture, etc from an upperclassman for cheap. didn't buy dx equipment except for stethoscope.

I do all that to save money then after test week I'll blow $200+ over the weekend...... totally worth it. 🙂
