Lucky!!! I'd love to be in ur position. I am going to Stony Brook as an udergrad right now. Do you mind if i ask what ur stats are?

Do they leave a voice message if someone doesn't pick up the phone? Are they actually working that late? I don't know whats going on....

The woman who talked to us first at the interview (I think she was the dean of admissions, I forget)-- she said specifically that last year, she didn't get to make the acceptance calls until 10 or 11 at night because she was in class/meetings all day.

I am in as well, so it's a class of 2 lol.....yes they leave a voice mail if you miss the call
 
just got a call like 30 min ago. I'm in!!!!

And I missed the call but I called them right back lol

really? that late? hmmm... maybe last year was an exception?
it's hard to believe that the same thing would happen in this year..

Congrats all of you who were accepted today. Looking forward to meeting all of you later on this year. Dot be discouraged if you didnt get a call, they are still making them probably for another hour or so.

I couldnt be happier with the school after 1/2 a year and im so happy with my decision.
 
I liked it too when I was there yesterday. I'm so glad I got in. I wish I could just fast forward next semester ( but not the summer😛)

i mean... I am guessing they wouldn't call past 12:30am

haha. Yeah, I was waiting until 12:00 am also, because SB was kinda my top choice. I think they got done calling ppl at about 6ish already. You have good score and got into BU already, so don't worry about this too much.
 
Got the call today around 11:30AM!! ...congrats to everyone else who got called and good luck to everyone waiting!
 
If you got waitlisted than your chances of getting in are still there. I know waiting kills, but that's how this game is played. Good luck to everyone, who is still waiting, you never know what's comming.
 
Has anyone created like a facebook group or something? I don't have a facebook account( maybe for this porpuses I should make one🙂) otherwise I'd do it.

are any of you guys having trouble logging into the SOLAR system thing to place your deposit?
it says my username and ID are invalid :O

congrats again to everyone!

to cinnamon - you don't get your ID to get into solar til the summer. did they tell you to do it that way this year? cuz two years ago all we had to do was mail in a check
 
wigglytooth - yeah, we're supposed to pay our deposit online
but i called them and they fixed it, apparently the reason it messed up was because i had applied to SB for undergrad, so i already had an ID number. but all is well now!

question - is the school toooo small for you guys? that's my only concern, the fact that it's tiny! and it's supposed to be one of the more difficult dental schools as well 🙁

It's too small in the sense that I wish there was more stuff to do around here, but honestly and unfortunately I spend a lot of time studying over chilling with my classmates. So I'm definitely not sick of them and I wish we had more time to do fun stuff as a class. The professors get to know you, and that has its ups and downs -- but I think overall it is good. It's really your preference. For some, it will be too small, but so far it hasn't affected me personally. As for difficulty, dental school in general is a time suck and it will be a lot of work no matter where you go. I really can't say that it is worse than other schools because this is the only dental school experience that I have. I can say that in second year we juggle patients, class basically from 8-5, and lab projects -- all with little break, especially since our summer is taken up by part 1. It's definitely no walk in the park. Maybe other SB folks can chime with their feelings in on this.
