I can't remember the last time I've been this happy! Congrats to everyone!

Did anyone else interview in the afternoon group on 11/13?

i was scared when I heard ppl were being called around 10AM....I didn't get a call until 1PM....must mean they don't really want me lol
 
We should pick a weekend to go visit AA (if it's close to you guys) and hit some local watering holes and get a feel for the small town! If anyone's interested let me know!!
 
Class of 2014, here I come! Too bad we start in July... ha ha

I interviewed in the afternoon group on November 13th.. We must have been the good group 🙂
 
I was called at 11 am (western time). It was great to hear nice news 🙂!

I remembered you. We had interview at the same day (nov 13). You were a nice and humble guy. It was nice to hear that you got in. Congrats 👍.
 
Got a call at around 10 am on Dec 1st. I was so excited! I interviewed on Nov 2nd!Congratulations everybody!
 
For those of you in the afternoon group on the 13th, I am the "older" guy that is an engineer, if anyone remembers. I said my last name was polish for "great dentist."

Please tell me your user name means you're a golfer! It might sound crazy, but sometimes I'm bummed I'll be having to give up some golf these next 4 years...and then I remember I'm going to f+@'!?/?!*# dental school!

Do I search on facebook for "University of Michigan School of Dentistry" and find class of 2014. There is a thread on here somewhere with a link, but it'd just be faster to search facebook directly.
 
Looks like quite a few from Nov. 13th afternoon group got in. Anyone from the morning group?
 
Does anyone know if they have a waitlist of some kind? How is it designed? Do they notify you when they put you on it? When do they start offering acceptances to those candidates on the waitlist?

I've had my interview with them on October 2nd. Haven't heard anything since and they didn't reply to my email.

good deal bro ... i remember u mentioned about the price of the ticket and all the travelling u had to do ... i look forward to see u and our other friend palmetto... any of the guys from NY, Idaho, or Cali?

I received a letter that basically said to send them your official final transcript that shows your degree as soon as you have it. Also reminds you to have all your pre-reqs done. They say you can send a check of $1500 whenever to hold your spot (needs to be paid by jan 15).

There is also a second sheet that they want you to send in with the check which is a personal data sheet. Extremely basic information.

Nothing too exciting... I was hoping for stacks and stacks of information 🙁

Maybe I might see you, but I might have to take into consideration the money, so I might not be able to attend Michigan. Still got to consider UMKC, Creighton, and OHSU accpetances. But we'll see. But, goodluck Michigan is a great program.

There might be some truth to that. I was already freezing during our interview in November. And the temperature is more than half that now. That's crazy cold. I might freeze before I can get to the dental school. :laugh:
 
Hi guys,
Do any of you still have prerequisite classes to take before matriculation? I haven't heard back from Michigan for some reason and I'm starting to wonder if it's because of my lack of English credits (even though I highly doubt it).

Yeah, I still have to take biochem. I really doubt its because of that. A lot of schools grant admission without every prereq done. Hang in there, they will be giving another round of admissions, hopefully you're in that one. Are you not wanting to go to Penn?

I still have to take biochem, english, ochem II, micro, psych, and another bio (anatomy)...it'll be a busy winter semester. It's like practicing for dental school...haha.

Thanks for the response. I like Penn but it's really expensive. Just want to keep my options open.
