Got my first acceptance from BU!
 
Im in too!! Im so excited...I could def. fall in love with Boston. But what about living expenses and the high tuition cost? Thats the only thing standing in my way.
 
I'm in too! I love Boston, and I think BU is a solid school. I only wish it weren't so expensive.

You all will love it! The faculty is so nice and BU is very laid back. Yes, tuition is expensive but you will pay it off in no time. Not to mention, BU will either renovate the current building or they will build a whole new building within the next couple of years.
 
Hi all,

It might be a little early to think about housing but I am leaving BU in May and have an apartment for rent starting 6/1/2011.

If anyone is interested, it's a small 1 bedroom apartment located literally across the street from BU Medical Center. The rent is $1500/month and includes water but not heat/utilities. The apartment is fully renovated and has hardwood floors, new stainless kitchen, great lighting, high ceilings and plenty of storage. It is ideal for 1 but can be cozy for 2.

I really enjoyed living here because of its proximity to campus. Please message me if you are interested.

It's very conversational. They didn't really grill me on anything... soooooooooo just be yourself!
 
Yeah, it's very conversational... I wouldn't worry about the interview. BU was my first interview, and I was so nervous at my interview that when my interviewer asked if I had any questions, I blanked and told her I forgot them... then I remembered then I said I forgot again. Eventually I remembered, but I totally thought I bombed that interview :/. I did end up getting in though lol.

My interviewer just went through my app with me and asked me things like, so you're from xxx, and your parents are xxx, and things like that. The one question that threw me though, was she asked, why wouldn't UMDNJ want you? I really didn't know what to say... Funny thing is, UMDNJ waitlisted me, so obviously they didn't want me that bad... We also just talked about my braces, I have braces.
 
haha again, is anyone going? this thread is pretty quiet for class being 2/3 full...
 
Hey guys, I interviewed in jan. and I still havent gotten any word back from Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
I am getting really nervous.
My interviewer told me I would be a great fit for their program, but I still havent gotten any word.

Does anyone have any information on acceptance? Its been almost a month since I interviewed, should i be worried?

I'm pretty sure that I'm going! Unless I get off the waitlist at the cheaper state school that I'm still waiting on... I'm excited for BU though!

its not 2/3 full, its about half full i believe
Ms. Sarkis told us at my interview that its half full as of mid-Feb
 
Would anyone happen to know when the deadlines are for filing the FAFSA and/or the CSS profile?

"Thanks for your inquiry. The application deadline is April 15th or 45 days from the date of acceptance, whichever is later. You will need to complete the FAFSA w/ parental information and the CSS Profile (if family income is less than $40,000). You will also need to fill out our MyFAPP application, which you should receive documentation from the Admissions Office about how to log in. Thanks for your inquiry."

someone in one of the threads said during their interview this week, they were told the class was 2/3 full.
 
Does anyone have any idea what the chances are of getting in of the waitlist or how many people get waitlisted? :-/
 
Hey guys.
I had my interview in late January, and BU told us that we will be called 4-6weeks..
and it has alerady been 4 weeks but I have not heard anything from them!

I loved the school and this is my number 1 choice for sure!
What are the chance of getting in? I mean I saw some people get waitlisted.. does it mean that I will be waitlisted?

How long after the interview do you typically hear back? Anyone interviewing next week?
 
my interview was on March 1 and I found out on March 4th. on March 1st, they said 85 spots were filled out of the total 115.
 
I'm in! Tough call to move up there from SC, but I'm leaning more and more towards it every minute. And amsan is right. I interviewed on that same date (March 1st), and there were about 30 spots left. What is everyone that has gotten in doing for housing?
 
Both of you guys interviewed on march 1st and got a response on march 4th that you guys are in? Thats super fast.. Congrats! I am worried now... I interviewed on Feb 25th...and haven't heard a word yet...does that mean...they've already passed on my application.. :scared:

Wow 4 days an awfully quick turnaround response! Congrats!! When is your deposit due?
 
I am not to sure about how rolling admissions work but im sure they haven't overlooked your application.
Our deposit is due on March 21st
 
I am probably going to find a roommate but seeing as Im from Canada... I will have to make a trip down to check out different areas.
 
Horray the thread is gaining life. I'm actually moving up to Boston at the end of May so I'll be there all Summer. My place has a spare bedroom, unfortunately, I can't rent it out cause it's my uncle's place buuuut what I can do is offer it out to people who need to stay at Boston for a bit to find a place to stay. Just message me!
