I just had to get this post started as this college is also one of my choices. I really enjoy Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine as I have a very close relationship with the school. I just wanted to hear all the cheers and jeers! Let's bump this thread up as they are getting ready to start sending out interview invites!😀😀😀😀
 
Now I know there some Tuskegee applicants out there dont be shy ! I'll start this veterinary program is located @ a historically African American university and has graduated of 70% of the African American Veterinarians including many international Vets so lets give it up to diversity int the profession.
 
TU has been historically underrepresented on SDN. There are a few current students out there which pop-up online from time to time. I interviewed/was accepted to TU last year and although I chose another school, I really liked TU.

Give it a while and others will crawl out of the woodwork. 🙂
 
They are really nice at the interview. And you get to socialize with the other applicants while you wait. And they have food! 😀
 
Yea its tru about the food part ! What a way to get you comfortable ! I am excited about Tuskegee and I cant wati for interveiw invites to start !😍😍:xf::xf:
 
I would love to go to TU! It's close to home for me and their program is so intimate. I'm applying next cycle!

Intimate is one of the postives of TUSVM and not to mention very family oriented!! I went to the veterinary school today to talk to my mentor about my file review and the next thing you know I was assisting in a physical exam of nine shelter puppies running to the pharmcy and taking vitals all within being there for 5 minutes lol ! The school really loves to get all students involved in dealing with clients and learning as much as you can even when you only stop in for a chat 😀😀!
 
Does anyone know what's going on with their website? I'm not applying until this upcoming cycle and am trying to look over their admissions information. It all comes up as a 404 error....

They pull the app program offline between cycles. It should reappear around May/June.
 
That's really strange and not very helpful at all. I was just looking to read about their school and its all gone.

Well Tuskegee has all of their information in there online application when you apply .. The time you fill out the application is the time you can see the pre reqs and by the way the application for 2011 is already posted got to the website and click on the veterinary school link and click on online application and you should follow the directions from there😳
 
Hi I'm new here, but I LOVE Tuskegee and will be applying this coming cycle. I've toured the school and love the faculty. The dean even sat down with me and told me about the area. So friendly and down to earth!

Good deal the school would love to have you also they increased the class size from 60 to 70 since recent cycles. I am aslo glad your familar with the program as it's one of the best kept secrets !😀😀

If you have any questions about the reqs, I would go ahead and give the school a call. Keep in mind the admissions office is really busy right now but it's worth a try 🙂
