Currently on the waitlist at Brody (doesn't look too promising). This school is the best fit for me, and I'm still holding out hope that I'll get good news soon, but if not, I'm absolutely going to reapply.
Definitey applying here, hoping for some IS love

Is it even worth applying to ECU if you're not from a small/rural town? I'm from the raleigh durham area and went to undergrad OOS so I'm thinking I might not have a good shot.
Anecdotal, but I've seen it done in recent classes.
I got mine

is it the same as last years?

I don't know what last years was. It is an online submission form, that you can't use a mac computer with for some reason....I haven't opened it, as I am at work with only a mac. I am in-state though, and was thus guaranteed a secondary, so no need for anyone to worry too much.

In state is not actually guaranteed a secondary. My friend didn't get one last year.. he only had a 5 in one section of his MCAT.. and 12 in other 2.

Thats what they say but its not entirely true.. As shown by the example above.. This friend is pretty close to me so there is no chance of misinformation. He thought he mightve deleted thr email, but when he called, they said he was not given a secondary. Weird but he was still interviewed by UNC.

A composition stored in Rich Text Format (.rtf extension) of 300-500 words which reflects your reasons for desiring to study medicine, your future professional aspirations, avocational areas of interest, and your major reaction to contemporary life experienced during the last several years. Be sure to put your name and AMCAS identification number in the upper right corner of the first page.

Anyone scheduled for the 30th? I'm looking to get some drinks the night before.
I'd totally be up for this except my interview isn't the 30th 🙁 too bad!
Anyone want to split a hotel room on the night before 8/24 interviews?
Finally got AMCAS verified this afternoon, and got this one about an hour ago.
Can't wait to find a PC so I can complete this secondary. All I have in my house are Macs #firstworldproblems

I'm a non-traditional and I submitted my secondary a few weeks ago but I am also still waiting on a LOR from a prof I had many moons ago...I hope that is why I haven't received any interview info yet...

anybody get a recent interview invite? I'm checking my email every 15 minutes...

Avocational interests? They do mean hobbies, right ?

Hello.. hello hello... echo..
lol
What's going on peeps? xATB and other who've already been on interviews, how was the interview, any questions particularly difficult?
I got lots of scenario questions, but nothing too difficult. One of my interviews was weird though - the interviewer only had 2 questions for me and didn't even ask if I had any questions before escorting me out. It really just depends on who you're assigned to interview with.

Okay, thanks. How much knowledge of the current state of the healthcare field did you require?
This will be my first interview. Do we have to take anything with us except the stuff we want to read while waiting?

Interview invite today! My first of the season (MCAT scores didn't come back until 9/13, so I feel like I'm way behind).
Headed to Greenville on Oct. 25.

Congratulations!
Interviewing at Brody is great. Just be sure to find the building the night before, its sort of tucked away.
As a bit of advice, be sure to have five or six of your activities/parts of your "story" that you want to be sure to work in to the interview. It's closed file so they're only going to know what you tell them.
Good luck!

Thanks, schwabejr.
I actually interviewed here last year, and never made it off the alternate list. Called down there to set up an appointment to see how I could improve, and Dr. Peden picked up the phone to talk to me, and basically said that there isn't anything that I needed to do - they just didn't have enough seats to accommodate everyone.
Wasn't much consolation since I wasn't accepted, but I raised my MCAT from a 27M to a 30Q, so maybe I can get over the hump this year. I love everything about Brody, and have a hard time picturing myself anywhere else.
