Hi All!
This is my current situation, I'm a senior at a pretty big school, female, Hispanic, and am expected to graduate with a 3.40 CPA and a 3.0 SGPA, I have not taken the DAT officially yet but as a practice test I scored an 18, I'm hoping to score at least a 20. Also I have applied to MPH programs because I am unsure of a couple of things:

1.) Are my chances so slim of getting into dental school that I should do a post-bac?
2.) Will getting my MPH and doing well help my chances of getting in or will a post-bacc be better for me?

** I was accepted into both UMDNJ's environmental MPH and Dental Public Health program as well as NYU's MPH program. Any help/ information would be greatly appreciated 🙂.

A post bac is better because an MPH does not offer the science classes that can be used to boost your science GPA.

Do a post bac because it will help you with your sci GPA. A 3.2+ can put you in a decent spot. If you are interested in an MPH, you can pursue it solely for you own interests, but it won't be as helpful as a post bac.

If you're interested in MPH, some dental schools offer dual DDS/DMD and MPH programs, which should save you a years time in the combined program.
