  1. Pre-Dental
Hi All, I need help deciding my path forward for dental school preparation. I have an undergraduate bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance (3.42 GPA) from UK (now I’m a US resident) and have taken around 20 credits(4.0 GPA) for US based courses (irrelevant to dental) so cumulative is around 3.5.

I have no science prerequisites and have to take all the courses and hopefully get a good GPA in those. I’m trying to find information about predental postbaccs but I have no idea which postbacc will make sense for me (most postbaccs are premeds). I’m shadowing a local dentist and also volunteering but really need help with the list of postbaccs that I can look into.

Please feel free to advise how do you think I should move forward to complete the requirements. Anyone here who did a postbacc or completed their requirements with similar background as mine? Will really appreciate your guidance.

Thank you all so much in advance!

Thanks for replying. Will you recommend any specific program considering my background and situation? Thank you!
In general, whatever is not going to put you into debt too soon since you only need prerequisites. What I don't know is whether you need cohort and peer advising/mentoring. It won't hurt you since you'll have to leverage that when you are in dental school. You can still attend a "premed" career changer postbac, but ask them how they have helped students who aspire to get into dental school so you know how they might help you. Some do a little better than others.

Connect with admissions officers at the dental schools closest to you. Ask about programs they see often.

Thank you. Is there a masters program that you recommend will suffice my prerequisites requirements instead of doing a postbacc? I've seen some people recommend doing masters instead of postbacc. Thanks a lot again!
