Hey everyone!
I am applying this upcoming cycle and want to apply to about 30-32 schools (seems excessive, but I predict it may be necessary). I was wondering if any of you who have done the same can give me an estimate on how much that would cost? I know it's a lot! Thank you! 🙂

Traveling for interviews/hotels will add up fast.

It will depend on how many interviews you get. The secondaries alone with cost maybe $2500

Submitting your AMCAS alone will be $1100-$1200.
Secondaries range from $25-$125, most are ~$80, so ballpark $2300.
Plane tickets, gas, hotel stays for interviews - depends on how many you get and how far away they are from where you live. I spent less than $1000 on travel to 8 interviews because they were all in driving distance, but I know there are people who racked up $5000+ on plane tickets and hotel stays alone.

When it's all said and done, you're looking at 5-10k for a whole cycle. Don't forget about travel costs, the costs of food and airplane fees, and other little things.

Something that might be applicable to people reading this thread: Fee Assistance Program (https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/fap/). I was lucky(?) enough to qualify this cycle and as a result ended up spending less that $600 once things were said and done. (Drive to interviews, stay w/ student hosts, strategically chose schools that accepted the fee waiver for secondaries, already owned interview attire).
