Hey man. I'm applying but my stats aren't great. I have family and connections there but Idk if it will work. Would be an exciting opportunity

Hello! I am applying for MD this cycle! Was wondering if anyone has received invites for 22 Sep's Applicant Day?

Does anyone know if accepting the offer if binding? Got acceptance but it requires a reply very soon, so just checking if anyone knows

It's not binding.

"We understand that you are still in the process of hearing back from other medical schools and scholarship offer. Our scholarship awardees will be informed from April onwards. While acceptance of the admissions offer at this stage is non-binding, we always encourage applicants to accept only if they are reasonably certain they intend to matriculate. This approach ensures fairness to other applicants, particularly those on our waitlist, who are also eagerly hoping for a spot in the class.

It’s important to note that formal commitment to the programme is only confirmed upon signing the Service Obligation Bond with the Singapore Ministry of Health, which is scheduled to take place around May to June. However, confirming your acceptance as late as July would not be feasible, as we must finalise admissions offers and provide clarity to our waitlisted applicants well before then. Withdrawals at that point would unfortunately come too late in the cycle to accommodate others fairly."

Just treat it like any other interview. I attended the one in Singapore, so I am not sure how the interviewers are in Durham, but for me, it was pretty chill. The interviewers were very friendly, and they just wanted to get to know me as a person. Read your application thoroughly and be prepared to talk about your experiences in depth. Good luck to you! Lmk if you want to know anything more.
