Thanks! This was a tough choice, although Penn is my IS I have heard that Michigan excels in certain areas over Penn. . .but it came down to comfort and unfortunately money! Kinda funny. . .if u look through the previous link no one declined their IS. . .must be for the same reasons!

interesting that many of you are talking about In-state vs OOS, but a lot of these places are private schools. Most undergrad places, and even many medical schools, private schools don't have different tuitions for in-state vs out of state... it seems that is different for vet school, no?

interesting that many of you are talking about In-state vs OOS, but a lot of these places are private schools. Most undergrad places, and even many medical schools, private schools don't have different tuitions for in-state vs out of state... it seems that is different for vet school, no?

Actually the majority of veterinary schools are public universities. There are some private ones, like Tufts. But (correct me if I'm wrong) I think even Tufts offers some sort of in-state tuition. I don't think it is a huge difference from the OOS tuition though.

in the US, Tufts, Western, and Penn are the only private I think?
Penn is definitely cheaper in-state tuition and I think Tufts does also? don't know if Tufts considers in-state/OOS applicants separately? I think Penn does though?

Tufts IS ($40,528) and OOS ($42,640), I believe, so for in-state residency is not really beneficial in terms of cost.

Thanks to those who declined TAMU...You made it happen for my family and I, after 3 years of trying we are now in. We got our phone call from admissions this morning...kids and wife are very ecstatic to move back to CS.
