Bond Formation/Breakage, ATP, and ∆G
Hey Everyone! So I have always taken for fact and not tried to understand in depth that bond breakage is endergonic and bond formation is exergonic. That has gotten me pretty far in life, but now that I'm studying for the MCAT, I'd like to understand that better. This has always confused me in...- ScrubswithnoSleeves

Bond Energy and Stability ?
I'm having a hard time conceptually making sense of high E bonds and energy release. I've learned that bonds store energy and so was under the impression that breaking a bond would release Energy but it's the opposite. In ATP hydrolysis, it's favorable and exergonic. I've read another thread...- sera2018
