[FONT=맑은 고딕]Still cannot believe that it is actually over ;-).
[FONT=맑은 고딕]PA 24 98% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]QR 22 98.7% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]RC 21 88.9% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Bio 23 98.9% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Gen 29 99.9% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Ochem 28 99.5% .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]TS 26 99.9%.
[FONT=맑은 고딕]AA 25 100%.
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I was not planning to write about my experience because there are already so many good breakdown threads .
[FONT=맑은 고딕](and amazing scores!! Especially, 28, really???👍) .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]But I think my test was a little interesting and just want to share some information about my QR section. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Oh, and I apologize for minor grammar errors in advance. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I came to the U.S only three years ago. I am still learning lol.
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]QR was my strongest section. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I never got a score lower than 23 on practice tests. Yes, my actual score is lower 😀.
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]So the second problem was the integration problem. It was not a hard one. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]They just gave me the table of plot values and asked for the area underneath by using mid-points. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Oh well, but as you know, timing is everything on DAT. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I spent more than two minutes on that problem just because I panicked. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I had three p-value questions. And I also had two log questions. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Those were pretty rare on practice tests, and I do not think I got all of those problems right. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Lack of practice, I guess. One of the p-value questions was four lines long. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]When I saw that problem, I was thinking, ‘Really? I have to read again right after RC?' .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Anyway, I also had a question asking period of sine function..
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I took trig in Korea. Oh yes, I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]And even if I did, I am not sure if I could remember it right. It was a long time ago………. (maybe ten years lol) .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I never saw similar problems on practice tests, so I thought that it was pretty interesting. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Other problems were okay. Just like practice tests. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Numbers on my test were not nice though. Maybe today was not my lucky day. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕](Even their servers were down for two times during my test. Haha) .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Okay, this is it. I just wanted to say that it would be better if you can prepare for the worst situation. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]And more importantly, DO NOT PANIC. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]It was my dumb mistake spending extra time on the problems that I was not sure. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Mark it, skip it, and return after finishing easy ones. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]I got tons of valuable information from this forum and now I really hope my information can be helpful to somebody. .
[FONT=맑은 고딕].
[FONT=맑은 고딕]Have a good night guys 😀.

golly.. your like the 3rd person recently to do amazing on the DAT...maybe now is the right time to take it! lol

congratulations

You still did great even if your not excited about your 22QR. AA = 25 (100%) you got the high score on that test. Nice little breakdown though! I always have to remind myself to not stress out about this freaking test! Hopefully my scores will look like that in a few weeks!

Awesome scores!
Thanks for sharing. Im also an international student and been in the U.S. for about the 4 years. My weakest part is RC and so,, if you are comfortable, could you share what your strategy for Rc was and talk a little bit about RC on your actual test? It would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure I had the same test as you because what you explained about the QR was identical to what was on my test. The QR was a pain in the ass...

Hi

Can u please give me example of P-value question that u where talking about.

I am pretty sure you guys will do awesome 😀 Once you finish studying, just believe in yourself and go for it. I think DAT score really depends on how you set your mind. (and maybe some luck...? 😛)

Good work! What did you use to study? Those chem grades are awesome.

I am a private tutor for general and organic chemistry and I was pretty comfortable with both. I just read through the textbooks once, and did problems (dat destroyer and practice tests).
I did not use Chad, but I know that he is good becuase I often got help from his website Q&A. His explanation is pretty clear.
Personally I liked Qvault but it was just because my situation is a little different.
Their general chemistry calculation problems are not great, but I liked the feature that I can just work on specific problems. Chemistry was the first subject that I took in the US and I missed a lot about periodic properties due to my language barrier... so I did periodic properties twice with Qvualt :laugh:
Oh, by the way, Qvault biology was a real good representation of the real one. 👍
Their organic.........I don't think it is necessary to buy the full subscription. If you understand DAT destroyer and get around 25/30 on your second attempt, you are more than ready 😀
General and organic on the real test was easy. No random questions like biology. Calcultations were also simple.

Awesome scores!

Seriously, I know your pain. I am so relieved that I do not have to do those RC anymore :laugh:
I just tried to practice as much as possible. Probably I spent most of time on my RC.
My method is somewhat between S&D and kaplan method (is it right? the one that you make little notes?).
So once I see the paragraphs, I check the length. If it is long, it will be basically S&D. If it is around 13 to 14 paragraphs, then they might have many tone problems. I read the first and the last paragraph, read each topic sentences, and I started answering the questions while reading as fast as I can. I strictly set 20 minutes for each paragraphs. No matter how much I've done, if the time expires, I move on.
But I think RC strategy really depends on what type of reader you are. Practice, and you will find the best way for you 👍
My RC on the real test was pretty hard to me. I prayed for straight questions (maybe something like topscore) but I didn't have that many. Even their detail problems were not straight forward. So for example, instead of a question like "which year......?" they gave me somthing like "what was the span of .....?" Each paragraphs were not that long, around 17-19.

I'm pretty sure I had the same test as you because what you explained about the QR was identical to what was on my test. The QR was a pain in the ass...

haha yeah.... I almost cried 😀 By the way, our TS is almost the same! great scores 👍

Hi

Can u please give me example of P-value question that u where talking about.

I don't really remember, because I was panicking...:laugh: It was something like... "somebody said he can predict the coin flips. researchers came up with the result of blahblah and the significant level was somethingsomething. How would they interpret the result?"

Answers were like That guy cannot predict(or can predict) because blahblah.....

I took the test in December and I had an integration question too. Mine wasn't difficult either, but the damn answer choices were so close to each other...Oh well, you know what they say: QR doesn't matter. Most committees will look at that stellar TS and AA and just put your application in the "Call for interview NOW!!!!" bin.

Congrats on a job well done!
