Hey everyone I just came back from 2 hours ago the prometric center with my scores. Didn't do as good as I had hoped but I hope it's good enough to land some interviews and hopefully the RC score does not kill my chances! I'm just glad I'm done and hopefully don't need to retake cuz of my RC score. Regardless I praise God for everything without Him and all of you guys I wouldn't have made it🙂) I'll post a breakdown later. I'm applying to 21 schools

CDM (good practice but is not really necessary, again it's only great for working with your timing)
Again, my scores are not one of the crazy ones that people get but I still believe that people can benefit from any breakdown. I had to reschedule my DAT twice because I just was not ready, and let me tell you, I'm sooo happy I did that! I ended up taking the test at 1:30pm.
Day before DAT: I know lots of people say to take a day off completely, but I just couldn't do that. So, I reviewed all my notes and took one test for each section (6 hours of studying). In the evening I went out for a movie and a good dinner!! This was one of the toughest nights ever!! Couldn't fall asleep at all. I thank God my test was at 1:30pm!
Day of the test: reviewed mostly Math Destroyer for 1-2 hours and a few biology flashcards on DNA technology. Came to the testing center 45 minutes early and just rested in my car.
Biology:
Again, this test is truly is as random as it can get! 96% of the stuff that I studied was not asked at all! I have learned all the body systems and memorized every process possible and not 1 question! I was so pissed! 60% of the questions were about plant biology and a good chunk of questions about DNA technology. I haven't really reviewed that part so I had to guess on at least 5 questions. I made one flashcard about the "microassay" method and glanced at it one time before heading out to the testing center and guess what? It was one of the questions on the test. Some of the questions were so extremely twisted in wording that as I was reading I was thinking to myself "wow really...you guys suck!!" so read the questions really carefully and each of the answer choices entirely because one half of the answer may be entirely correct but the last word may make it a wrong answer. Another tip: DON'T HESITATE TO MARK A QUESTION AND MOVE ON! I had about 11 bio questions marked, which I came back to them afterwards.
After Bio I really felt I bombed it because I had to take 5 educated guesses and was not sure on some of the other questions...but I brushed it off and completely focused on my next section
General Chemistry: Again Chad is the man for this section! He will teach you everything you need to know. However don't expect to watch the videos once and think you're good. Watch the videos while taking notes and then review notes 2-3 times, and if something is unclear rewatch that part over again. DAT destroyer is a bit harder on the calculations but not too far off! On the conceptual questions it is pretty much dead on. I probably had an equal distribution of calculation/conceptual questions! Most of them were not difficult there were just a little tricky to set up and required some thinking! One question though I had NO idea how to set up and did not know where some of the numbers in the answer choices came from. Again, really important to learn the properties on the periodic table because some of the calculations required you to apply conceptual knowledge!
Organic Chemistry: Watch Chad, take copious notes and do his quizzes a few times and you should be good. Also really memorize certain properties that chad talked about like compounds that will have High-Low BP, High-Low MP, Highest MP depression (things like that) The DAT destroyer is perfect for this section. Don't just memorize the answers but understand why its wrong. MEMORIZE the roadmaps!!! I did have a few questions that I had no idea how to do. There was one question that looked like an aldol reaction but once I tried doing it none of the answers had it! So weird! So I guessed on it and moved on.
PAT: I would say crack DAT pat is extremely good! In addition I would have to mention that DAT achiever and Topscore had VERY similar keyholes and TFE questions. Once I began doing this section I felt pretty good but I quickly realize that their hardest questions for Keyholes, TFE, and Pattern Folding were at the very end so give yourself some time! There were 3 keyholes that I had NO idea how to answer! I just wanted to shoot myself in the face cuz i was like "WHAT THE HECKKKK IS THIS!!!" The angle ranking was not easy either! I would suggest practicing angle ranking on CDP using 3 angle differences! The Hole punching and cube counting was a piece of cake! The pattern folding was easy at first but quickly got harder by the end. Since I'm pretty good at hole punches and cube counting I finished both section in about 10 minutes so I had good 20 minutes heading into the pattern folding section.
During the break I went to the bathroom, ate my snack, looked at a few math destroyer questions, and headed back with 1 minute to go until the start of the next section. (don't forget it takes about 3-5 min total to sign out and sign back in)
RC: Ok to best honest I thought I did really well! Even though English is a second language for me it should not be an excuse for me scoring this low. I am very very shocked that I got such a low score because out of the 50 questions most of them were search and destroy kind and about 40 questions I was 100% certain on because I got the answer straight from the passages. For the second passage I did get the ethics passage but It's not as bad as what everyone else says! It is 22 paragraphs long but each paragraph is only like 2-3 sentences long. I did take a little more time on this passage though. Going into my last passage I had 19 minutes left. The last 3 questions I just couldn't find the answers to so I had to guess them. My biggest advice is as soon as you start this section go to the first question, read it, and start reading a passage very quickly while trying to note key words. As soon as you find the answer mark it and go to the next question. If you read one third of the passage and still haven't found the first answer, go to the second question. Again, I didn't score so well so you may not take my advice but I'll still give it to you!
QR:
I was always pretty good with math! My only problem while I was studying for it was my timing so I REALLY worked on that! My version of the test had about 3-5 word problems, a couple trig functions, couple probabilities and lots of algebra!! Math Destroyer is the best thing out there for QR! Nothing else beats it. Also, I would suggest learning how to graph and read various y=sin(x) and y=cos(x) graphs. For example: y=Acos(Bx+C) know what each value stands for and how to interpret it! I reviewed this on the day of the exam and one questions was one there (got really lucky) I finished this section with 6 minutes to go, so I went back and reviewed my marked answers (had about 7 marked) Again, if you don't know how to solve it or you know it will take you a long time MARK AND GO! I did have 1 questions that I looked at and said to myself "I am not even going to try solving this" so I guessed and went to the next one.
All in all, the testing time went by EXTREMELY fast! I thought this exam was long but trust me it didn't seem like it at all. I would highly recommend you to practice your DAT tests with soft earplugs and bring them to the testing center! They saved my life🙂 Lastly, I want to wish everyone many blessings and great success in life and in your dental careers! Good luck on the DAT. You will be sooo happy once you're done with it and the feeling that you get from knowing that you don't ever have to pick up a DAT book ever again is undescribable!! 🙂 Also don't forget to take regular jogs and pray pray pray!! God has truly been with me through this whole DAT journey and has been my motivator. Again, I may not have the most stellar stats, but what I am planning to do with dentistry is special and I believe God will keep helping me throughout this journey!! Whether you believe in a supernatural power or not, by praying and mediating you create positive energy around you that is very very helpful!!
