I just received my DAT back and my scores were:

QR: 430
RC: 490
BIOL: 440
GC: 430
OC: 480
TS: 450
PAT: 360
AA: 450

Is my exam worth retaking solely for PAT?

hard to say without seeing all your app, but a 17 PAT isn't an absolute red flag...

I would not retake this just for PAT.
Your scores are strong overall. AA 450 and TS 450 are what schools are really looking at first, and your RC and OC are excellent.
The PAT at 360 stands out a little, but it is still just one section.
What I see happen all the time is students retake a good exam trying to fix one score, and then something else drops. Once you retake, everything is back in play, not just PAT.
If your GPA and the rest of your application are solid, I would apply with this.
I would only think about a retake if you are aiming for very competitive schools that really care about PAT, or if you are 100% sure you can bring it up without hurting your other scores.
Otherwise, this is a strong exam. Don’t turn a good score into a gamble.

Hope this helps, Nancy
