i just started asking for LOR and started studying for the june PCAT. i cant believe its almost time to start getting application together! i submitted all of me grades on pharmcas but i was going to wait until after my summer classes to submit the transcript so i can just send it once. is that a good idea? here is the run-down.

classification : senior = 110 credit hours w/ no failures.
overall gpa : around 3.0
science : 2.7
math : 3.0
non-science : 3.4

pcat : we'll see in june 🙂

work experience : going on 6 years (CPhT x 2yrs)

i want this really really bad and i hope my aweful fresh. year didnt ruin it for me. i think that applying to NC schools will help because most know how tough Campbell is but i worry about other states and the fact that they may not be as aware of Campbell because its private.
 
I thought the applications for 08 weren't going to be available until June/July? Are they up already?

well no the apps arent up yet but as far as personal statement, LOR, transcripts etc...pharmcas stuff its never too early to start organizing!

i plan on applying to my current school (Campbell), Wingate, UNC, Shenandoah, Appalachia, Hampton...for now 🙂
 
It's great that you are starting now the earlier the better. My advice to you though b/c your GPA is a lil low i would study hard on that PCAT and get in the 90's on the PCAT that will give you a better chance at getting in. b/c i've seen people get rejected this year with 3.0 and like 80's in the PCAT so for you the GPA and kind of a neg. for you but you can still do it study hard and ace the PCAT
 
I agree with the above poster, ace the PCAT and with all your work experience you should have a good shot for getting interviews. Way to start early!! I didn't start until the end of the summer last year and it was tough getting everything together.
 
Starting early is always a good idea!!, I began about a month ago 🙂
 
I thought that applicants for 08 couldn't submit their transcripts to PharmCAS until june....I feel bad if that is the case since I told my friend who is applying this coming year that she couldn't start the application process till june when the new application cycle starts. Does anyone know if you can start sending in your transcripts and LOR's to PharmCAS as of right now for the 08 application cycle?
 
Hey everyone,

Since you are all getting started for '08, thought I'd ask this here. Does anyone know what the exact prompt says for our PharmCAS personal statement?

I printed the directions off the PharmCAS website but I was just wondering what it says on the actual app.

I should get started with the LORs and essay, I'm sure those things will take the most time.
