08 transcripts?

Hi all,
I was wondering when is the soonest that I can have my official transcripts sent to AACOMAS and have them verified for the 2008 app cycle? I sent an email to AACOMAS regarding this a few days ago and have yet to get a reply. Anyone out there in the know....? Thanks

I read somewhere on the AACOMAS pages that you can send transcripts prior to completing your primary app. They will hold them until you complete your app, then they just match them up with your account or whatever. I sent requests for my institutions to send them last week.

Last year they held onto transcripts before you submitted your application. E-mailing them seems to be the worst way of contacting them. Get on the horn and speak with an AACOM representative to see if they're doing that this year. If they are taking transcripts, as in previous years, I would say try and get your transcripts in ASAP so they can match up your app and transcripts for verification. Verification seems to be the limiting reagent on AACOMAS' end, so anything that speeds up the process will get your application sent to schools faster.

I e-mailed AACOMAS, and they told me that I had to wait until I registered for the 08 cycle to send in transcripts. Let us know what you hear by calling or e-mailing. Hopefully we don't get two different stories!!!!!

Do we only need to send in one copy of the transcript? Or do we need multiple?

During the 07-08 cycle, I sent in multiple copies of my transcripts, once every two weeks, to ensure that it got to them.

they will match it once you send it. mine have been received for the '08cycle and i had them sent out last week. call and give them a heads up, should do the trick.

Ugh, I have 8 transcripts and some of the schools charge 😡 I think I'll send them in now and get them verified before I resend. Can you do that, verify them I mean?

You sure can. However, you can check online too to see if they were received. That may be easier than being redirected to various people. It takes at least a week for them to update the transcript status online.
