FA2013 in the diagram on page 293 insinuates that calcitriol exerts a negative feedback effect on PTH release, but I can't find anything to confirm this (w/a brief search). Is this actually the case? I had thought calcitriol just exerted negative feedback on 1-alpha-hydroxylase expression

According to my clinical chem text(reviewing for my board exam), 1, 25(OH)2D acts directly on the gene for PTH synthesis.
