1 year master programs

I'm trying to figure out what to do for my gap year, and a one year master's program sounds appealing because it's short and I get a master's GPA (which will hopefully be higher than my undergraduate GPA). Has anyone done a one year master's program and if so, where and how was your experience? Thanks!
 
My friend did the masters in health education at UMich because she wanted to eventually teach in dental schools. I think 1 year masters are helpful IF it addresses why you're doing the gap year in the first place. Don't just do one to fill the time until it's time to apply. Do one in a field you're actually interested in (especially if it's non-dentistry related). Or, if your grades are iffy, do a masters in bio sciences to prove you can excel at the science classes. Otherwise, consider doing something else
