1 year masters programs in ny area

so i was hoping to do a one year masters program in the ny area...i am taking a year off before applying to med school. my mcat score wasn't up to par and this seems to be a good idea. however, im looking for programs in ny only. money is a big issue right now and since im from ny, being close to home would save a lot of money. anyone know of any programs? thanks!

If your MCAT is the limitation in your application, why not do something that will make money rather than something that costs money during your gap year and, at the same time, prepare for and retake the MCAT? Even if you had to volunteer in a lab or clinic (or a bunch of different gigs to make up 30 hrs/wk or more), you'd come out ahead of paying for a master's degree.

This applies only to someone whose only problem is the MCAT and who is most concerned about the cost of a Masters.
