I remember someone mentioned about 10 spaces for ECs.
What do you guys usually put?
I was thinking of putting my experience with Intramural Sports (Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball Captain) as one of the 10 things, but it kinda sounds useless... I would put 2 organizations that I am in, shadowing experiences, and lab assistant, but that only counts as 5..

Under no circumstance should you feel pressured to join 10 EC's. It's about quality, not quantity. Schools would rather you focus on 2 clubs than pay fees for 10 clubs and never show up. Your intramurals would go under ECs, while your shadowing would go under dental experience, while your lab assistant will probably go under work or research.

I agree with the post above, categorize your experiences that way. Definately put down intramural sports, it shows that you do something for fun other than studying all the time. Since AADSAS instruects that you put EC's in order of importance, I would suggest putting them all and just ranking them properly in order of quality.

I would also consider doing each intramural sport individually. They are different clubs, really... so I would list them that way. If you played in 5 intramural sports, that should count for 5 activities.

I disagree. Unless each activity was substantial (>40 hours), you should list them together because they really aren't that different from each other. Just like if you have a lot of community service but alone, each is not significant enough to warrant having its own space. Plus, you don't want the adcoms to look and see that you have 1 pre-health club or whatever and 5 sports.
