I know one of the docs in the article. He left to start his own boutique solo practice emphasizing lasik and premium cataract surgery. Despite opening up during covid he is doing very well. So much for the idea that doctors need “businessmen” to “help” them, so they can “focus on practicing medicine.” Remember this: if you ignore the business aspects of medicine, some else paying more attention will take advantage of you- thus removing your ability to do the right thing for your patients and practice medicine the way you want.
