Does this decrease the years go on? Will I see this charge in the Spring? Are there any other charges that generally tend to decrease? $11,192 seems like quite a bit for a SINGLE semester

Dental School is expensive, however this may be the wrong forum. Try the forum for the dental students. I see you are new.

That cost should be the initial purchase of your dental tools/equipment for the 4 years and should go down the next semester. Ask/look for a detailed breakdown of the cost of attendance for the school in question.

Instruments are required but books shouldn't be listed as required. Most of my classmates haven't bought books except when the professor was adamant on buying them. Still a couple of us didn't buy them. You can always resell the book or illegally download a copy.

Generally, third and fourth year is cheaper than first and second year. Generally tuition is increasing for everybody every year. By the time you're a D3, you're out of the preclinic simulation labs wasting material and money and are now treating patients and producing money for the school.

What school? Send us a link and maybe we can help you break it down/see when the charges will apply.

I go to a school with Instrument Leasing and it's 2400 every semester (fall, spring, summer) for 4 years

$11k on instruments, which I could probably get for 4-6k.

A lot of the school materials are over priced.
