Is it rude to ask to be worked on only by a dentist and not a hygienists? Does it make a difference?
I don't do cleanings or sealants or take xrays, those are things the hygienist does, I would probably do that for a family member or friend but a random patient? No way
My dentist does my cleanings and always has since i was little

Mine too. I appreciate a dentist doing it and I tell him that. He did my sealants as well.
I do cleanings for some of my little family members. Younger cousins etc
If I was doing all this stuff, it would be pointless to employ multiple hygienists at upwards of 45$/hr. My time is better spent doing higher production procedures. And, you know, buying things online.
