Graduated with a psych degree without having taken any of the prereqs.

Took my prereqs postbac at a community college in 1.5 years with a summer of classes.

Got a 4.0 in prereqs thus far. Just have orgo II left next semester (projecting an A).

I am taking the mcat next month and projecting ~30.

But the question remains...I do not have any upper level science courses on my transcript, do I need to or will I be fine?

Thanks!

It's always nice to show that you can perform well in upper level science courses. But as long as you meet the minimum pre requisite requirements for medical school then you will be fine.

Now does that put you at an disadvantage to someone who has performed well in upper level science courses? Maybe, maybe not.

Knock the mcat out of the park and it doesn't matter.

I would recommend taking a few upper levels. They were mentioned at every school I interviewed at. Adcoms believe they predict ur abilities more than lower levels. In my opinion they are easier anyway and more interesting haha! Good luck!
