There are definitely a lot of opportunities - study at Oxbridge definitely one of the shining examples. But the caveat is this: they are insanely hard to get into. If you don't have a 3.7 GPA, don't even think about applying to for a UK Fulbright study grant, Marshall scholarship, Rhodes, etc. Most accepted students have GPAs in the 3.9 range (for the scholarships/grants, I mean). But if you can figure out a way to fund it - and it's not cheap - then that's definitely the way to go.
