Hey guys! I'm a hopeful pre-dental student and very nervous about my chances of getting in to dental school. I'm currently going into my sophomore year as an undergrad and would love some advice. Here's some info about me:
Molecular Neuroscience Major~ GPA: 3.34 so far (freshman year wasn't my hottest)
Gen Chem 1: B
Gen Chem 2: C
OChem 1: A
Molecular Bio: B+
I plan to have 300 hours of volunteering at a hospital. I'm working at a dental office for the next 3 years.
I plan on shadowing about 150 hours. I'm researching in a lab for the next 2-3 semesters. I also have a lot of leadership roles within my church.
Assuming I crush my DAT, what do you think my chances are at a dental school like NYU? Or anywhere in the area. Do I even need research? I don't want to give up on my dream! Thank you in advance!
