I know med students in their 40s. Time out of college doesn't matter, and can actually be beneficial. If you want to do this, go for it.

Programs like Teach for American are usually highly favored by adcoms, my friend is in his 2nd year of doing it and absolutely loves it.

I really want to teach grade school before applying to med school. It's a dream of mine I'd like to live a little before committing to medicine so my question is approximately what is the maximum amount of years med schools would be good with me being out of college/taking classes? What are your opinions? Also this is way in the future.. posting out of curiosity.

Programs like teach for America were made for people like you. If you want to teach outside of this kind of program, you would need to take the required education classes and get your teaching credential. TFA would allow you to fulfill your dream of teaching while focusing your academic work on other things if you wish. If you truly fall in love with teaching and want to make that your career, it would be easy to go back and pick up the required coursework for your credential.

TFA is one of the most impactful non-profits around. Education is the gift that keeps giving. Go for it.

Would recommend that you apply to medicine as soon as possible / when you feel ready.

Once you complete the prereqs, MCAT, etc, you can still teach while waiting to be admitted.

I taught for 3 years (2 years TFA and 1 year at my own high school) - it was pretty fun. I don't really regret it. I'd say go for it... Don't wanna go into med school with regrets.
