Let me break it down for you like this. $250,000-$450,000. That's how much we will all owe before ever picking up a handpiece to make a living. So if you see conversation about debt be happy. It means that we aren't going into this blindly. We are actually thinking about it. If you are investing hundreds of thousand of dollars you better know what your ROI will be. Dentistry is just as much of a business as it is a health service. Know what you are getting yourself into. Have a game plan.no - seriously
Why is it that the only thing people talk about on this pre-dent forum is money and debt (how much will I make? What is my starting salary? I don't want to own a practice or deal with people - how much $$$ will I get)
Seriously? You go over to the premed forum, and the people are talking about research NIH funding, clerkships and interesting information, etc
Really makes me wonder about the caliber of students going into the dental field (med school rejects), and their motivations
If my above statement pisses you off - well then, you're part of the problem, or you're looking at his with rose-colored-glasses
I wonder if pre-doctoral students ever date the residents... If anyone knows any single OMFS residents steer them in my direction. No, there are other important things we talk about besides debt and $$$... Like stalking our future spouse in the "Class of 2020" dental school Facebook group.
Why don't I see people on the preallo forum stressing out as this forum then? Yes, threads on debt pop up there too - but I swear there's a "how much you make after graduating" or "1st year salary" thread that pops up here every damn week. It's infuriating.
It's clear to me what everyone on this predent forum values. Almost makes me wish tuition would skyrocket to 800k so all you f**ks wouldn't apply. You're the reason why everyone says dentists scam them, always trying to turn a quick buck.

NIH funding has been discussed on this forum inside threads, not necessarily in its own threads. Though there is dental research going on, I'm sure you won't disagree with me that medical research is more prevalent to the general public and appears more in the news.no - seriously

Ya lol OP's old posts suggest he's just a subpar trollLOL the OP must be joking.
There are countless discussion on premed forum regarding socialist ObamaNoCare, rapid rising of NP and PA and how their scope is wider than their education, and how the salary of physicians stagnate.
In the real world money matters, what comes in, what goes out, balancing it, etc.
.
pretty bad trollHahaha OP hasn't responded.. Classic.. He was obviously trolling, just trying to start an argument..
And if he wasn't, then he made my day by making me laugh
