Title pretty much sums it up. I could add the poli sci major, which would do nothing for my semi weak science GPA or my career (probably). But, I would learn really cool and interesting stuff that might be useful for general life. Or, I could take a bunch of science classes that would definitely raise my science GPA to at least a 3.5. Cumulative should be around 3.6 either way... hopefully. Medical school is the goal, but those poli sci classes...

What do you suggest?

You might learn something useful. I took 4-5 poli sci courses in college and found all but one of them pretty forgettable. If med school is the goal, your GPA should be the priority. You can take a course or two as electives or even just look up some syllabi and do the reading on your own. I'm sure there are also some OCW or Yale open courses as well.

Take the science courses. Increase your sGPA. Rock the MCAT.
Or do both. Take interesting easy courses, and a couple of sciences.

If you end up in medicine you'll be learning science every day until you retire or die. If you don't you won't need it anyway. Life's short, do something fun. You may even find you enjoy something more than medicine.
